DAY 01: TRIVANDRUM – KOVALAM

KovalamOn arrival at Trivandrum Airport or Thampanoor Railway Station, meet and proceed for Trivandrum sight-seeing if time permits. Thiruvananthapuram is built over seven hills and is known as the City of the Sacred Serpent.

Thiruvananthapuram derives its name from Anantha - the serpent upon which the deity of the city, Padmanabha - an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, reclines. The Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple is the landmark of the city. The other main attractions of this city is Puthen Maliga Palace Museum, Napier Museum, and Sri Chitra Art Gallery.

DAY 03 : KUMARAKOM BACKWATERS to MUNNAR TEA GARDENS


MunnarAfter breakfast, drive to Munnar, the most beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats; at an elevation of about 1600 meters above sea level. Visit tapioca and banana plantations en route to the hills of Munnar. Observe the largest surviving populaton of the Nilgiri Tahr at Eravikulam National Park, situated at 30 kms from the hill stations of Munnar. Once the summer resort of British Government, the hill stations of Munnar live upto its name as the most sought after hill station in South India.

On arrival at Munnar hill station, check-in at the T & U RESORT HOTEL for a couple of nights. Make the most of your day with your own activities or lean back, relax and breathe the fresh air of Munnar Hills, before an overnight stay at the T & U resort hotel.

DAY 04 : GREEN MUNNAR TEA GARDENS


MunnarFamous for its tea gardens and nearly 55,000 acres of plantation tea, Munnar looks like a lavish green carpet on earth. Places to visit at Munnar tea gardens include:

  • Eravikulam National Park
  • Mattupetty Dam
  • Scattered villages
  • The Old Tea Factory and
  • Old Munnar Township

Have an interesting visit to the local market before retiring overnight at the resort HOTEL T & U.

DAY 05 : MUNNAR TEA GARDENS to KOCHI CITY


KochiAfter breakfast, check out and drive to Kochi. The city of KochiQueen of Arabian Seas, is one of the most interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world!

Explore ancient temples, churches and synagogues in Ernakulam district, which are of special interest to archeologists and historians. The Chinese fishing nets, the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace and the Bolgatty Palace in Kochi city enrich the heritage of Kerala. After noon, proceed for sight-seeing to view the above mentioned places before an overnight's stay at the 5-star luxury Gateway Hotel.

After noon, go for half day city tour of Kochi which includes, St. Francis church, Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue and Chinese fishing nets. Overnight stay at HOTEL ABAD PLAZA.

DAY 06 : DEPART from KOCHI CITY
